Ky’s 5 Tips to Staying Energized Throughout the Day
Getting out of bed is probably the most difficult aspect of my day. The second most difficult aspect of my day is staying energized. If you are in the same boat as me, here are 5 ways that I stay energized throughout the day.
1 – Don’t Shy Away from the Sunlight
I love having my blinds open throughout the day. Natural light is one of the best ways to be fed energy throughout the day. If you’re not able to open your blinds, no worries, find some time to go out for a walk or step outside for a few minutes.
2 – Limit Your Caffeine Intake
This may be surprising to some, but this is really important. Yes, caffeine and other caffeinated beverages can give you that initial energy, but the crash that also comes with it can drag your entire day down.

3 – Drink Plenty of Water
One of the biggest causes of fatigue is dehydration. So if you’re looking to stay energized and active throughout the day, make sure that you drinking plenty of water.
4 – Try to Avoid Alcohol
Alcohol definitely makes me a lot sleepier than it did when I was younger. No matter how stressful your day may be, it’s best to avoid alcohol during lunch or at any point during your afternoon.

5 – Get Some Rest!
This may go without saying, but if you’re not getting enough rest at night. It’s best that you try to get 7-8 hours of sleep each night. For insomniacs like me, this is REALLY difficult, but it’s necessary.

These are just a few pointers for you, but if you always feeling groggy throughout your day, it may be a larger issue at hand. Be sure to talk with your physician if it’s consistent no matter what actions you take.
