Hey Vibers! It’s your boy, Ky!
Have you ever had one of those mornings where your alarm clock is more of an enemy than a friend? Yeah, it happens to me all the time, more often than not, unfortunately. But don’t worry, I’ve learned how to turn my panic-filled morning into a mental health WIN!
1 – Embrace the Chaos with a Smile
Remember, it’s 100% okay to not be PERFECT. I’ve learned to actually laugh at myself when I can’t find my missing sock that I need for my other foot. (Why is it NOT with the other sock?! AGH!) We have to be able to laugh at our hectic craziness sometimes. A little humor goes a long way when you need to turn stress into something more manageable.
2 – Master the 5-Minute Shower
Yes, 5-minute showers are 100% possible! Though it does take time and discipline to make sure that you’re in and out. This can be a game-changer for you, especially when you’re running late and every second counts. More importantly, at least for me, showers do an amazing job of waking me up in the morning, sometimes even more so than coffee. (Okay, maybe not more so than coffee, but you get the point.)

3 – Always Have a Go-To Outfit Ready
This is essential, especially if you’re someone who often finds themselves running late. Have a simple outfit prepared, one that looks good and doesn’t require you to spend precious minutes getting into it. Trust me, this one is a lifesaver.
4 – Quick & Nutritious Breakfast
I’m not a big breakfast person, but I do understand the benefits of a healthy breakfast, especially when calming down during a rush. I typically grab an apple or a banana as I’m flying out the door. Not only does it fill me up for my ride to work, but it’s also healthy, and it makes that cheeseburger I’ll devour later more justified.
5 – Prioritize Your Tasks
My co-workers are probably sick and tired of me preaching this one, but it truly does a lot for a person, whether they’re running late or not. Once I’m out the door, I take a big, deep breath and prioritize my tasks for the day. This helps me get focused so I don’t feel overwhelmed when I get to the office.

6 – Take a Mindful Moment
Even when you’re rushing, it’s important to take a few seconds for a deep breath and a moment of gratitude. These few precious seconds will do wonders for you and help keep the mental chaos in check during your morning. You’d be surprised how beneficial a few deep breaths can be for your mood.
7 – Prep the Night Before
This tip may sound cliché, but it’s also the best one on this list. I try my hardest to prepare for the next day the night before, typically as I’m getting ready for bed. It makes my mornings run smoother and a little less prone to disaster. (Even though life has a funny way of always throwing us curveballs, right?)

Your Day Doesn’t Have to Be Ruined
Listen, Vibers, a rushed morning doesn’t automatically mean a ruined day. With a few deep breaths, some quick thinking, and a dash of preparation, you can still make today a fantastic day. It’s all about how you handle the unexpected.
Stay positive and be kind to yourself!
Much love. Good vibes. – Ky
