There’s no doubt that the world is in a weird spot right now. If you’re feeling scared or fearful of what comes next… you’re not alone. Today, I will walk you through some tips to help you manage those fears successfully.

Fear: an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

No matter what fear means to you during times like this, if there is one thing that we all have in common, it’s the fact that we all have to face our fears at some point or another. To help relieve some of the uneasy feelings you may have as we navigate these turbulent waters, I am here to help provide some methods to help you fight your fright. Here are 3 ways I deal with my fears… hopefully you can use some of these as well.

1 – Embrace Your Fear

The key to embracing your fear is to keep going forward. Sometimes you may find yourself holding back, or preventing yourself from growing because you are allowing your fear to dictate who you are and what you do. Don’t let the fear win.

Embrace your fear by turning it into a positive, motivational message for yourself. Recognize the fear you have, learn from it, and find ways to keep yourself moving forward. YOU dictate where your life goes, not your fear.

2 – Face Your Fear Head On

One of the most difficult things a person can do in their life is to face their fear with courage. Lord knows that this is something that I have struggled with at times. Once you fully understand your fear, write down the worst possible outcome. Literally write it down. Once you’ve recognized that fear, look at it, and remind yourself that you 100% have the strength the face that fear and conquer it.

3 – Your Fear May Not Be That Scary

That’s a bold statement to make, I know. But I mean every word of it. If you’re anything like me, sometimes we get the worst idea in our head about certain things, and as a result, we often think the worst of every situation. I have trained myself, and continue to train myself, to remind my brain that it’s probably not as bad as I may think it is.

Trust me, I get it… sometimes our brain wins. But we HAVE to continue to fight for our well being, learn from our fears, grow from them, and keep pushing forward.

BONUS TIP – Talk To Someone

If your fears and anxiety seem too much to handle, there is absolutely nothing wrong with finding someone to talk to. Maybe it’s a friend, a family member, or perhaps even a therapist. Speaking with a professional can help guide you in finding ways to desensitize your fears and anxiety.

At The End of the Day…

At the end of the day, sometimes the best way to conquer your fear is to simply face it, just make sure you do it in a safe and healthy manner. 🙂 You got this!
