Ky Joins the Casts of “RENT” and “The Wild Party” This Fall

After spending the past three years recovering from an injury, directing, focusing on The Vibe With Ky, and working 9-5 every day, I am super proud to announce that I will finally be stepping back onto the stage this fall! I will be playing the role of “Tom Collins” in RENT at The Broadway Theatre of Pitman, and “Mr. Black” in Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party at Villagers Theatre.

The last time I was on stage was September 2018 when I was, ironically, playing “Tom Collins” in a production of RENT at the Union County Performing Arts Center in New Jersey. It warms my heart that I get to step back into the role again, ending my live performance hiatus after three years.

Getting back onstage was something I did try in 2020. In late-2019 I was cast as “Jim” in a production of Parade and as “Jim” in a production of “Big River”. Both were shutdown mid-rehearsal due to the pandemic. All theater was essentially shutdown shortly thereafter.

So the itch to return has been there for quite some time now, and I am super happy to finally be getting back to it, playing two roles I am very comfortable with, which help ease the transition back into performing a little smoother for me. (This is 4th production of Rent and my 3rd production of The Wild Party.)

Tickets for both productions are now on sale and can be purchased via the links below. It’s highly recommended that you get your tickets sooner rather than later, as both productions are looking to sellout quickly.
